Community Support during Covid-19

During these uncertain times of social distancing we would like to ask the communities that if you would wish to write or draw any pictures or letters our residents would love to receive these through the post.

Meals, Medication and Bereavement

Meals

The menu is varied and favourite dishes and special dietary are requirements catered for.  Choices are offered and alternatives are always available.

Clients are encouraged to eat in the Dining room, however they are able to eat in their own room should they prefer.  Dignity is preserved at all times.

Drinks, snacks and other refreshments are available 24 hours a day.

Visitors are also catered for.

Medication

If a Client wishes to self medicate and it is safe for them to do so then all help and advice will be given.

Otherwise all drugs will be managed by trained staff and dispensed and ordered for them under the instructions of the G.P.  The home has detailed policies and procedures with regards to medication.

Any Client can request to see a doctor in private should they wish.

Bereavement

In the event of bereavement, the family can expect every possible support and consideration from staff.

Funeral arrangements are made by the next of kin but the Home’s staff can be relied upon to assist and explain what is required.

The Home is not responsible for any funeral expenses.
